Father’s
Love for his Child
The
role of a father in the life of a child gets unnoticed, most of the time, as it
gets eclipsed by the presence of mother. He is often viewed as rather a shallow
human being, who just leaves his offspring into the custody of his child’
mother. Most of the people think that by doing so he just shirks of his
parental responsibilities. But, if we do a Proper Probe, we come to know that
it is a fallacious belief. Though, it is irrefutably true that father, being
man, often does not wear his emotions on his sleeve, he does not even show his
joy from the rooftop, but it is also equally true that the love of a father, is
never less than that of a mother.
Thousand
years ago, the Roman emperor-philosopher Marcus Aurelius observed that a
father’s controlled affection was more important for a child’s perfect
upbringing than a mother’s cloying love.
If
the data coming from the fathersforlife.org are to be believed, children from
fatherless homes are:
Ø
4.6
times more prone to commit suicide
Ø
6.6
more prone to become teenage mothers
Ø
24.3 times more prone to abscond,
Ø
15.3 times more likely to show
aberrational behaviour
Ø
6.3 times more prone to be in a
state-operated institution
Ø
10.8 times more likely to
commit heinous crime, like rape
Ø
6.6 times more likely to be a
truant child,
Ø
15.3 times more likely to end
up in prison in a teenage.
After
going through the above statistics, you will yourself be in a position to say
that no; father’s love for his child is no less than that of a mother.
