Father’s Day—Not Meant for
Father Only
Father’s Day is a day
that is dedicated to honor father and to show gratitude towards him. But,
contrary to the popular belief, Father’s
Day is not meant only for father. On this very
day, a grateful person can honor his or her grandfather, uncle, big brother, or
any such person who is the father figure for that person. The word father is a
symbolic word that is extended to all those men who have done something
substantial for their sons, daughters, nephew, nieces, grandson, granddaughter,
so on and so forth. A child does not know as to how much privileged he or she
is. How much his or her father or father figure gives to him or her. The
children are innocent of all these things. And hence, when they grow up and
come to know about all the service and sacrifice of their fathers or fatherly
figure, it becomes their payback time.
US Citizens
are second to none when it comes to paying their respect to their father or
father figures. And this is the reason why the third Sunday of June is
dedicated as the thanksgiving day for our patriarchs. If you are among those
grateful sons or daughters, who want to do something substantial in order to
get the eyes of their father or father figure, you can opt for some common
things, such as gifting, sumptuous meal and of course spending quality time
with your doted dear. But, here it is quite
important to note that there is not anything like one-shoe-fits-all plan. As
you know about him/them better than anyone else, it is you, who could do the
best to impress them.
So, start
talking to them. Start thinking about their likes and preferences. And this
year just ensure that they enjoy to the hilt.
